Spring is here, and I know because the parks are full and I just got my first sunburn of the season. Use the seasonal dopamine to get yourself out of your tiny New York apartment and to one of these fun events below.

Cubbyhole : Industry Night, half off beer/well/wine, 11 PM+

Mary’s : Queer Me Out, monthly book club, this month it’s for How Far the Light Reaches, 8 PM

Ginger’s : Fiber Arts Night, extremely chill, bring your own project or start one, free community supplies available, 7:30–9:30 PM

Metropolitan Bar : T for T Tax Day, transgender comedy show, 7 PM, $5–10 suggested donation

Bush : Black Poet Social, On Becoming and Blooming, 8 PM

Cubbyhole : Brijoy’s Heifer Club, a variety show, 11 PM+

Mary’s : Trivia Night, win a pair of tickets to a Brooklyn Steel Show, 8 PM

Good Judy’s : Messy Queens, comedy show, 7:30–9 PM, $12+, two drink minimum »

Union Hall : Gay Shame, comedy show, 7:30–9 PM, $12+ »

Events for Wednesday, April 17

The Bush : Karaoke Wednesdays

Cubbyhole : Gallery Walk, two hour gallery walk led by Annie Millman with special guests at each gallery, 4–6 PM, followed by
Book Swap, monthly book swap, theme is art and photography books, limit 5 books per person, 6–9 PM

Henrietta Hudson’s : Queeraoke, 9 PM+

Mary’s : Survivor Viewing Party, pizza, drinks, shows, 8 PM

I checked this out last week. It was a fun, rowdy watch that definitely got me more invested in the show — as someone who hasn’t seen it in a decade, I instantly picked favorite contestants. Plus, free pizza.
