The Bush : Meet at the Bush, queer speed dating for ages 21–27, 6:30 PM, $15

Speed dating at The Bush is … chaotic but a good way to meet a lot of different people at once. Staring another human in the eye across a table is a lot more humane than mindlessly swiping on the toilet.

Things I Like This Week

Creative Cat-Calling

Let me clear, I don’t condone cat-calling. HOWEVER … if one must (and one never must), I strongly support getting weird with it. This weekend I received a “You’re aging perfectly, girl,” which will forever haunt the dark creases of my brain.

The Target Lesbian Vest

In the Girls’ section at Target, there is a very obvious lesbian-colored vest. I can’t find it online, but the brand is Cat and Jack and the XL fits a Women’s Large. Boo to fast fashion, but yay to accidental Pride merch?

Last week, I saw comedian Fleming (best known for quirky YouTube videos like I’m Afraid to Talk to Men ) at The Town Hall. No one else can weave such hilariously specific turn of phrases. Would not want to live into Fleming’s brain, where the rest of the world must seem so boring and vague.
